Pastor Kevin Lane has been serving at Berean Bible Church since 2004. He and his wife are dedicated to their marriage, their four children, and to ministering to students and families both within and outside of the church.

Kevin has his B.Th from Grace Bible College in Grand Rapids, MI
We have a long history of dedication to intergenerational worship and community in a church setting. Look anywhere within our walls and you will see a committed group of adults mentoring and equipping the next generations in Christ’s love.
The Berean Youth Program values this approach to ministry. We are not dedicated to maintaining a legacy, but to insuring a strong future for both the individual and the church body. We believe that while strong programs are important, a program only serves as a mechanism to real ministry. Real ministry involves people and relationships. The Church the Body of Christ is a living organism, not a schedule of events and activities.
Inside these pages are the descriptions of the mechanism of our youth program.
  • The Mechanism is designed to fulfill our Mission.
  • Our Mission is designed to glorify Christ.
  • Our Objectives are designed to accomplish our Mission.
  • Our Core Values guide our Objectives.
  • Our leadership development, calendar events and church activities reflect our Core Values.
Our greatest desire is to glorify our Savior as we lead our students into a deeper relationship with Him. We realize that individual needs require both structure and flexibility to accomplish success. Help is always welcome, and your input will always be given serious consideration.
I would love to spend time with you over a cup of coffee discussing any cares, concerns or questions you have regarding the ministry of Berean Bible Church. Just call the church office to set up an appointment, or drop me an email!

~In Christ,
Kevin Lane

“The Youth Ministry of Berean Bible Church strives to point students toward an active, growing relationship with Jesus Christ in every aspect of their lives.”
Our Objectives

Our youth ministry objective is to establish the following five components of ministry into the lives of our youth:
Worship: Centering God in their lives rather than centering their lives upon themselves.
Discipleship: Growing more and more like Christ, and less and less like the world.
Outreach: Seeing people through the eyes of God, with the heart of God, and with a desire to share God with others.
Fellowship: A time of communal growth for the Body of Christ. It can display itself in many and different aspects of the Christian walk.
Service: Taking what the Lord has taught us (internal) and expressing it into the lives of others (external), both believers and non-believers.
Our Core Beliefs

  1. Scripture-based Authority: Everything we do, believe and teach comes from God’s Holy Word. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  2. Truth-Seeking: Youth ministry must expose students to the life-giving truth of Jesus Christ. (John 8:32)
  3. Authentic Witness: Authenticity will draw people to Christ. (Philippians 3:12-14)
  4. Life-Altering: Youth ministry must push students, parents and the church outside their comfort zones to grow deeper in our walk with Jesus. (2 Timothy 1:6-7)
  5. Humility: Ministry must be clothed in humility (1 Peter 5:5-6)
  6. All-Encompassing: The Body of Christ is global in reach and universal in scope. (Galatians 3:27-28)
  7. Sanctuary: Ministry must provide a safe place for students. (John 8)
  8. Intimacy: Our relationship with Jesus is our youth ministry. (Mark 10:13-16)
  9. Awe-Inspired Wonder: Ministry must allow us to regularly rediscover astonishment of the vastness of God and His infinite love for us, compel us to seek answers from His word for our lives, and leave room for God’s continual work in our lives. (Philippians 3:8-16)
  10. Creativity: Ministry must free students and youth workers to discover and express their God-given creativity. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
